Christmas Wish Tree at Town Hall

I received this note from Penny of the New Hartford Women’s Club and am passing it on. I know from experience that there is nothing that brings more happiness than knowing you’ve helped give some joy to a child on Christmas.

To all my neighbors & friends in New Hartford – the next time you are down in the center of town – stop in at the town hall and take an ornament from the giving tree. The ornaments list the wishes of a child whose parents may otherwise not be able to give them a present for Christmas.

The wishes are simple and think of the joy you will bring to a child on Christmas Day. There is no minimum to spend. You give from your heart.

All you do is to take the colored paper ornament – leaving the white one with your name, phone # and address with Christine in the Selectman’s office.

We ask that all UNWRAPPED gifts be returned by Monday, December 17th. Please help us out and bring a smile to a child on Christmas Day.
