Voter Registration Deadlines Loom

by on April 18, 2012

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.”
John Quincy Adams

As we are all finally breathing a sigh of relief after tax day has come and gone, this is a reminder that your civic duties are not yet complete!

The mail-in voter registration deadline is tommorow, Thursday April 19th, if you hope to vote in this year’s Presidental Primary elections.  Please remember that the State of Connecticut has a closed primary system, meaning that you can only vote in a party’s primary election if you are affiliated with that party.

If you are not currently registered or have changed your address you will need to re-register.  If you are an unaffiliated voter and would like to enroll in a party in order to be eligible to vote in that party’s primary, this mail-in application must be received by the Registar of Voters by tomorrow’s deadline.

If you are unaffiliated and would like to enroll in a party, or if you are a new voter, you can do so in person until Monday, April 23rd at 12:00pm.

Below is a link to the form that you need to complete and post mark (or deliver) by tommorow.

Happy Voting!!
