Important Town Meeting this Thursday Evening, Antolini, 7:00 p.m.

Via email:

Folks, we are facing a Town Meeting this Thursday, July 11th at 7:00 PM at Ann Antolini School. Please BRING YOUR ID as proof for voting/ballot rights in the Town of New Hartford. There are so many ridiculous, negative initiatives that continue to come from a handful of people in this town who pose as New Hartford Independent, press, to destroy the fine interactive relationships between multiple parties of interest in this town. The Rec commission has a job to do, and they have done it. They operate under the ordinances and rules set and modified from time to time as deemed necessary and appropriate. They serve on your / our behalf. Our First Selectman, Dan Jerram has put forth significant personal and team efforts to satisfy all factions of interest in town. The consistent destruction, miss-information, lies and deceit of a handful of people that believe they should shut down access to our parks, lockout our children, turn active play/rec areas into wide open “BUTTERFLY” only observation fields must be stopped. Our kids deserve equal access to play baseball, soccer, football, basketball, tennis, boating, hiking etc. Shutting down football is their start, moving next to squelch soccer then onto other limiting initiative’s is a process that we must prevent.

I do not serve two GODS! I am asking each of you please get to Ann Antolini to cast your vote / ballot in favor of your children, your rights to exercise your access and to not allow a handful of people to destroy what many have built in this town that serves us all… you, me, your/our children and grandchildren. Our parks, fields and other assets belong to everyone, not just 10 people that have ratcheted up miss-information.

Don’t let this happen to you or your children and grandchildren. I will vote NO/ or NOT to ADOPT and NOT consider any of these hand selected rules by a few self-serving people.

If the question is phrased such as, “Shall the rules be adopted?” yes or no. Then I will vote “NO” to NOT Adopt

If the question is phrased such as, “Shall the rules be denied?” yes or no. Then I will vote “YES” to Deny

We must be very careful once the question is read. It can be confusing.

Please follow the links below. Our Selectwoman, Alesia Kennerson has taken the painstaking time to gather and get all information for your review. Please contact Alesia if you have any questions leading up to this important Town Meeting this Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Ann Antolini School.

Thank you, Jim Fitzgerald

Information portions of Alesia email to Jim:

“As I said earlier tonight, I would send you an email regarding this confusing topic.  The Recreation Commission approved Park rules last April 2012 and are shown here:

New Hartford Recreation_ Department Rules & Regulations

“The Recreation Commission has always worked with the scouts and allowed them use of the parks for many years.  A group of people that are not represented by the Recreation Commission put a petition together to approve new rules at a Town Meeting. This petition is shown here:”
