Wolverines Harvest Day

While the day started out in showers, the sun came out shortly after noon, and it was a beautiful afternoon.

New Hartford hosted Vernon.  Only the A team won but the teams played some great football against a tough opponent, and should be congratulated!

Chrissy did her business at about 3:30 pm, and the lucky winner of the $250 cow chip bingo prize was Shawna from Vernon (below) .

We caught the Mighty Mites game that started at a little before 3:00 pm.

Mighty Mights played tough – final score 14-6.

Wolverines Mighty Mites Cheerleaders welcome the Vernon squad and fans.

Other activities included face painting, a raffle for a chance to throw a pie in their favorite coaches face, (Clay picked his Dad, Mike) a dunk tank, and a Chili Contest.  There were raffles for several baskets put together with items donated by parents and local businesses.

This was the Wolverines last home game of the 2012 season.   This next Sunday (the 21st) they play at Windsor High School, and on the 28th they play in Glastonbury.  Game times and directions can be found on NHYFC website, linked at upper right on this page.
