Sharon Wilbur
Tomorrow, on Tuesday, May 8, there will be a referendum on the proposed budget for the Town of New Hartford.
The Annual Meeting was held on May 1, and I post its notice here for voter qualification and polling place information. Note that you do not have to be a registered voter to vote in an Annual Town Meeting Referendum. If you are a property owner in New Hartford, you can vote in the referendum. Please call the Registrar if you have any questions – 860-738-9721. Please note the polling place for your district. Budget Meeting And Notice of Referendum MAY 2012
Please spend some time reviewing the budget FINAL%20PROPOSED%20BUDGET%20MAY%202012, and go to vote your support for the General and BOE Budgets for the Town of New Hartford.
We think that the Selectmen and the NHBOE have done a great job keeping Town priorities in mind while keeping increases to a minimum.
Remember, it’s your right, and locally, you CAN make a difference.
See you at the polls!
If anyone has any questions on any line items, I would be more than happy to try to answer the question. My phone # is 860-496-8926, or just email me at akennerson8926@charter.net.
The town budget (including the elementary school district budget) passed. The Region 7 budget was rejected by New Hartford voters but was accepted in the combined 4-town vote. See the Republican American online (link below) or print versions.
