New Letter to Pet Owners from FoBPS

by on April 3, 2012

This letter was delivered to a friend of ours today.  He doesn’t bring his dogs to BPS, and loves football, so he shared it with us.  Your thoughts are welcome.

As you can see, FoBPS is appealing to pet owners, trying to bring them into the discussion over whether we should save BPS for pets, or children, or can’t we have both?  I have no problem as long as they are leashed and their owners clean up after them.

Hmmmmmmm. Seems FoBPS forgot to mention to pet owners that they were responsible for bringing those rules to the Recreation Commission & for urging them to use them to restrict park activities. Pet owners, FoBPS have caused possible issues with your access to town parks, not football.

So, Pets have more rights than kids?\

Really?! This is getting more and more ridiculous by the day! Unbelievable that they are so set on keeping the park open for dog-walking but not children running. Not once do they mention that it’s their own fault. Wow.

Come on folks! Just let them know, no kids = no dogs. Make them know they have to share.

  4. Why the reference to “prime farmland” in the letter begging for access for dogs? Is it better to have dog feces on prime farmland, or kids playing football? Just asking.

Which is more annoying to neighbors – barking dogs or the voices of children playing and having fun? The exteremist rants of the so-called “Friends of BPS” sillier each time.
